Infographics are present to us in media sources like magazines, television, books, posters, signs, and anything else that has complex information. For some people (like me) it’s much easier to visualize information, data, or knowledge with a graphic present.

Other day while reading the news about the situation on Egypt I stumbled in a great illustration made about the issue. I liked it a lot so I tried to find more about the artist who did it. So, researching thru the web I found that the artist was Android Jones, a really experient digital artist.

Fractals are the form of mathematics looking to make sense of seemingly random patterns. Fractal patterns can be found throughout both nature and science. Snow flakes and clouds are two obvious examples, but even solid objects like trees and flowers show signs of fractal patterns. On a more technical level we as technology users owe a great deal to fractals, in particular they are crucial in our ability to compress digital signals and images.
