Kirby’s Epic Explosion for Nintendo’s Kirby’s Epic Yarn is live action and animated adventure that follows Kirby as he faces down his attackers on the streets of Anywhere USA. Created for Leo Burnett by Superfad, the spot is rapid-fire action of the cuddly sort as Kirby, recreated in fuzzy 3D yarn, spins into a tank and sends out mighty blasts that transform the live action buildings into a colorful, cloth covered street.
Video games offer us a chance to escape into a place where our imagination comes alive. This ability to escape from the realities of our lives is the reason why the video game industry has such massive success and growth. With video games, the sky is the limit. Creativity is encouraged and game designers and developers can go wild and just have fun. The impact of video games is evident especially since some restrictions and classification has to be put in place to ensure children do not get influenced or negatively affected by some of the more graphic and extreme games.
Created for a project that would encourage doctors to use the Wii for patient rehabilitation (even though they already are?), these illustrations are like something David Cronenberg would dream up, and remind me of those spooky Lego Minifig anatomy renders. The illustrations were done by John Foester for artist Angela Moramarco. More pics at her site.
Videogames are one of the most popular forms of media today, because they allow interaction between the user and the virtual environment. Combined with the power of computer graphics, there are limitless possibilities for the creativity of videogames. There are role playing games, first person shooters, adventure games, flight simulators, movie to videogame adaptations, real time strategy, turn based, and a host of other forms of videogames.
Super Mario Bros. is a video game developed by Nintendo in late 1985 and published for the Nintendo Entertainment System as a sequel to the 1983 game Mario Bros. In Super Mario Bros., the titular character, Mario, seeks to rescue Princess Toadstool (later renamed Princess Peach) of the Mushroom Kingdom from Bowser, king of the Koopas. Mario’s younger brother, Luigi, is playable by the second player in the game’s multiplayer mode, and assumes the same plot role as Mario. This video game character is so popular that many artist created an unusual but stylish Super Mario Brothers Artworks.

These 10 trailers knocked our socks off at this year’s E3.
We know, it’s just another angle — and one that we’re not quite sure the origin of — but considering just how many years we’ve been waiting for the Wii to be anything other than glossy white, we’ll take every opportunity we can to relish this moment. Hop on past the break for a more official look at the jet black controllers. Hey Nintendo, you do realize that North Americans love new hues too, right? Cool, just checking.
