Happy Bday to my best friend -Afei-
Afei aka Philip is a web designer/composer/dancer living in Taiwan. His creativities are immense in various fields. Most of his talented works can be found at United Advertising. I have known him more than a decade now and he is also the one brought me to the world of design. Hopefully we can team up in the future when I move back to Taiwan ^ ^

Pix that tell the stories of 2008
Lightning bolts appear above and around the Chaiten volcano as seen from Chana, some 30 kms (19 miles) north of the volcano, as it began its first eruption in thousands of years, in southern Chile May 2, 2008. Cases of electrical storms breaking out directly above erupting volcanoes are well documented, although scientists differ on what causes them. Picture taken May 2, 2008. (REUTERS/Carlos Gutierrez)

Connecting NorCal and SoCal!
Like it or not California, it’s about time you folks ponied up for a serious rail system. With the recent passage of Proposition 1A, the wheels have started to churn on a sophisticated bullet train system that will eventually link San Diego in the south with Sacramento in the north, with stops at most every major city in between (LA and San Francisco included). The 800-mile network of trains would operate at upwards of 220mph and cost around $45 billion to construct, but it’ll create 320,000 permanent jobs by 2030 and reduce the state’s reliance on fossil fuel by 12.7 million barrels of oil per year. Unfortunately, there’s no set time frame for completion just yet, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see this one finished before that Anaheim – Las Vegas maglev project even gets off the ground.

Taking a Break…
Hello Everyone,
I have decided that I will stop updating my blog everyday (at least no more 3-4 posts per day) and start developing on my 3rd flash portfolio. I am very very busy at work right now due to the freaking holiday season! I will continue to post once I have more free time so please stay tuned~ Thanks for those who visit my blog everyday, I really appreciate your supports. Also, if you have any suggestion for my blog or topics for me to post in the future, please leave me comments.
Best Regards,
Kevin Kuo
Crows Zero – 热血高校 -
I watched Crows Zero last night at home because me and my friend gonna dress up like Japanese gangster students for Halloween this year. This movie is fun to watch due to its endless fighting scenes. Yes, this movie is all about “FIGHTING!!” Crows ZERO is a film based on the comic book Crows by Hiroshi Takahashi, and was directed by Takashi Miike.
Jay Chou’s 2008 Album: 魔杰座
Jay Chou’s 2008 album finally releases today. However, all the songs are already leaked about one week ago. The pre-orders are already sold over 800,000 copies world wide which is his most successful album so far. He also mentioned that he gonna spend 17 millions NT to film his 11 music videos this time which is also setting a new record.
Hong-Chih Kuo (郭泓志)
Another Taiwanese pitcher appears in MLB Playoffs!! His name is Hong-Chin Kuo, he replaces Takashi Saito on the NLCS roaster. And Kuo is gonna be the key to Dodgers’ success due to Philly’s powerful left-handed hitters. Kuo was also a high school teammate of the Yankees’ Chien-Ming Wang who is injured throughout most of this season.
Save on Gas With Morning Fill-Ups?
Even with the temperature swings we saw in the first few gallons pumped at our facility, we didn’t see a big penalty for the consumer. A 15-degree difference, for example, would result in a one-percent gain in volume. Or, just a few cents difference on the first gallons pumped — not enough to change your schedule or routine in chasing costs, especially if it might increase your fuel consumption in the pursuit.
