Art to Support Japan

As you may have heard, there’s been an 8.9 earthquake and tsunami devastating Japan very badly. The whole world is trying their best, to support and help over this terrible disaster. Even the design community has risen to do their part.  Such artists as Hydro74, The Hejz especially James White aka Signalnoise has started a movement to help Japan by expressing their support with art. This is a some samples of designers expressing their own support for the Japan Disaster Relief.

Myoe Win Aung Paintings

Myoe Win Aung was born in 1972 in Yangon and studied under several masters, including U Lun Gywe. He started painting in 1989 and graduated from the State School of Fine Arts in 1992. He now works as a full time artist. As with most painters in Burma today, religious life and Buddhism influence his artistic expression.

100 Years Of Infrared Photographs

Infrared photography, one of the most fascinating photographic techniques, is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. The technique enables us to capture light that is invisible to the human eye. The first infrared photograph was taken by Professor Robert Williams Wood and was published in the Royal Photographic Society Journal in 1910 as an illustration for his paper.
